Köszönet illeti azokat a moldvai falusi zenészeket, akiktől a hangszeres dallamokat tanultuk.

Similarly to the first album this band consisting of music teacher Sándor Balogh and his former students, the songs in this album also stem from the traditional dance music and folksongs of the Hungárián Csángó minority of Moldva, Románia, enriched with the improvising mood and harmonization of the musicians playing. The main instrument is again the Jew's harp, playing both as a solo and an orchestral instrument, this time also with a Vietnamese bamboo and Chinese copper Jew's harps. The harmonization of the album Dorombér 2. is similar to the former CD, the accompaniment of koboz and double bass make the sound of the band orchestraL Shepherd's flute, kaval and tilinkó, as well as zither in some tracks also play an important role. We would like to thank the village musicians of Moldva, as we have learned the instrumental melodies from them. Our disk pays a tribute to the work of Béla Bartók, regarding the anniversary, who had, contrary to his intentions, never had the opportunity to travel to Moldva, nevertheless, based on collections of other musicologists, he identified the archaic traditional music of this region as the fifth independent Hungarian folk-musical dialect. We have compiled the material of this album by picking from the several hundred vocal and dance music melodies. We recommend our album Dorombér 2 not only to those interested in original folk music but also to listeners preferring more modern sound.
